Margaret (Peggy) Blanche Branchaud, age 101, passed away peacefully on September 14th, 2025 in Wylie TX surrounded by her loved ones. Born on June 20, 1924 in Harrisville, NY to the late Viola and Verner Shean, she lived more than a century with grace, kindness and gentleness that touched every life she encountered.

She devoted her years to caring for those around her, always offering a warm smile, a listening ear and a generous heart. Her quiet strength and steady presence touched everyone she met leaving behind a legacy of compassion and grace.

Peggy enjoyed working at several places such as USEnvelope during the war, Halmark's Springbok making puzzles and Combustion Engineering Controls wiring control boards.

Peggy loved her years growing up with her family in her small town of Harrisville.   She then moved to Springfield MA where she met Paul, the love of her life. They married September 2, 1944.  She and her husband raised their family of 4 children and had a wonderful life full of friends and extended family in Hazardville, CT.  They built their dream lakefront home in Ware, MA where they enjoyed retirement together. They eventually moved to Palm Coast, FL to be with her sisters and families.

Peggy accomplished many things later in life.  At 81, she moved to Wylie, TX to be close to family.  She impressively earned her yellow belt in karate at age 85 and finally received her earned Harrisville high school diploma at age 100.

She is survived by her daughter, Judith Plantier in CT, her Daughter-in-law, Janice  Branchaud in TN, her son, David Branchaud in MA, and daughter, Sheryl Baird and her husband, Donald, in TX.  She loved and enjoyed her 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren who will carry forward her example of patience, warmth, and love.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 60 years, Paul Branchaud in 2004, recently her son, Gary Branchaud in TN in 2025 and her granddaughter, Beth L'Etoile in CT in 2013.   Also preceded in death are her siblings, Myrtle Lathan, Marilyn Van Brocklin and Francis Shean.

Her family is grateful for the many wonderful years shared with her and for the countless memories that will continue to inspire and comfort them.

A celebration of her life will be held sometime after spring, 2026 at St. Bernard's cemetery in Hazardville, CT.  Her friends and family will gather to celebrate her and her husband's, Joseph Paul A. Branchaud, devoted lives where they, eternally together, will be laid to rest.
