Marie Dickerson, 81, of Wylie, Texas passed away in Wylie on Monday, September 18, 2017.  Marie was born on Tuesday, May 19, 1936 off of Troy Road in Rockwall County.  Marie's late parents are Britton and Lenora (Holbrook) Cross.

Marie married W. G. "Dub" Dickerson on Saturday, January 29, 1955 in Sachse, Texas.  They made their home in Wylie and raised their 3 children here.  Marie retired from North Texas Municipal Water District as an Executive Secretary for the Director of the Water District. She was a lifelong member of the Wylie United Methodist Church.

Marie is survived by her three children, G. T. "Sonny" Dickerson and his wife, Gene of Italy, Texas, William Britton "Brit" Dickerson and his wife, Amy of Wylie, Texas and Tina L. Dickerson also of Wylie; sister, Maudine McKinney of Garland, Texas, 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.  Marie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dub, and sisters, Maxine Williams and Martha Cryer.

Visitation for Marie will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.  A Celebration of Marie's life is 3:00 P.M. Thursday, September 21, 2017 at the Wylie United Methodist Church.  Rev. Wally Williams will officiate.  Marie will be laid to rest next to Dub in the Kreymer Cemetery following the service.
