Marie Samford passed away on January 8. COVID-19 stole a beautiful person from this earth. She was as genuine as they come. She was always loving and helping to anyone in need. Marie never met a stranger. She lived a life full of love and she created beauty around her. Whether it was through gardening, or lending a neighbor a helping hand. She had faith, courage, and strength. She gave it her all and did her best to keep fighting. Ultimately, COVID was more ruthless than any of us realized.

Tim S. her husband will always remember how she loved all her beautiful plants, flowers & her Yorkie, Roxie. The best times they had were when we they use to sit outside on the patio and drink coffee. He said my mother had a beautiful glow, just like her beautiful flowers.

She is preceded in death by her first husband Victor Herrera & Isaura Lopez her mother and brother Miguel Angel Lopez. Marie is survived by her children Diane H., Sandra G., Lee H., & Lorene H. Her grandchildren Ashli, Rachelle & Kian. Her children will never forget how strong she was and by the grace of God raised four children after Victor passed. No matter what, she always had a smile on her face. A smile that was beautiful & contagious. And whenever you came to visit you can bet that you were getting fed. And she never took no for an answer.

We never expected to lose Marie so soon. She loved life and you could always hear her singing. Her beautiful voice filled our hearts and we will never forget it. We appreciate all the kind words everyone has shared with us. Please remember her beautiful smile.

Her faith is what is going to keep us going.
