Marilyn Franklin, 63, lifetime resident of Wylie passed away in Wylie on Saturday, January 25, 2020 after a courageous battle against cancer. Marilyn was born in Wylie on Tuesday, December 4, 1956 in Wylie to her late parents Jim Henry and Ruby Mae (Simmons) Jackson. Marilyn was a member of the First Baptist - Wylie.  She graduated from Wylie High School in the Class of 1978.  Marilyn married Robert Allen Franklin on August 24, 1984 at the First Baptist - Wylie.  Marilyn was preceded in death by Robert.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Victoria Anne and Jimmy Allen; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Tammy Jackson; granddaughter, Emory Jackson; niece, Crystal Staats, nephews Drew Jackson and wife, Raegan and Barrett Jackson and wife Emma; aunt and uncle, A.B. and JoAnne Simmons; cousins, Jan Simmons, Roger Simmons, Briane Jackson, Danny Jackson, Julie Meador and Mike Jackson; and numerous other cousins, extended family and friends.  Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Ruby Jackson and her husband Robert Allen Franklin.

Visitation is Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the Allen Funeral Home. A celebration of Marilyn's life will be held at the Draper Chapel - First Baptist Wylie at 10:00 A.M. with Dr. A.L. Draper officiating.  Marilyn will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Kreymer Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Marilyn's name and memory.
