Marilyn Frances Gordon, 92, of Wylie, TX, passed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus in her daughter's home on June 30, 2025. She was a treasured sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

Marilyn was born in Mt. Pleasant, TX to Wallace and Mabel McClung, and graduated from Wylie High School. She was a hard & diligent worker all her life, working several jobs along the way, finally retiring from GTE in 2002, after which she began her final career watching grandkids, whom she loved on & drove all over the Dallas metroplex for school, outings, events & more.

She was a member of Wylie Church of Christ, and had previously attended First Baptist Church of Wylie. She cherished her Sunday School class there, where she grew & built friendships for many years.

She enjoyed playing bingo with her friends, cheering for her Cowboys, Popeye's Chicken, cutting up & cracking jokes, watching her game shows like Price is Right, scratch-offs, and spending time with her beloved family. Marilyn was resilient, strong, spunky, hilarious, joyful, and steadfast in her faith. She exemplified humility, perseverance, and found good in all things.

As the matriarch of her family, and an intentional, loving friend, Marilyn has truly left a legacy, although she would never say that. She has truly given so much to so many. She has poured her heart out in love, even when she didn't have much to give. Her family, and all who knew her, will forever be impacted by her joy for life, her fun-loving personality, her infectious laugh, and her love for Jesus. We love & will miss you dearly Marilyn, Mama, Grandma, Gaga, Gragoo… But we take solace in the fact that you knew our Savior, and look forward to the day when we're reunited with you in Heaven.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her father Wallace McClung, mother Mabel McClung, sister Joyce Orr, brother Bob McClung, and great grandson Draiven Beavers Curtis.

Marilyn is survived by brother Jerry McClung and wife Marj, sister Beth Scholz and husband Ben.

Daughter Sharon Baum & husband Bill Baum, grandson James Guthrie & fiance, Grace Beavers, great granddaughters Alyssa Guthrie & fiance Colten Howard, Meaghan Guthrie and M'Kaylah Guthrie and great-great-granddaughters Aspen Rainn and Avery Rose Howard.

Daughter Joy Roberts Davis & husband Kelly Davis l. Grandsons Kelsey Davis ll, Kelly Davis Jr. & wife Katie, and Kameron Davis, and great grandson Kelly Davis lll

Daughter Tabitha South & husband Derrick South. Grandson Andrew South & partner Michelle Rodriguez, Granddaughters Hannah South, Danielle South, and Lizzie South.
