Mary Sue Brumit's Obituary
Mary Sue Brumit, 83, of Nevada, Texas passed away at her home on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. Mary was born on May 8, 1935 in Ben Wheeler, Texas. Her parents were the late Nolan T. Gothard and Lula Pearl McLemee Gothard.
Mary is survived by her children, Rebeca Bryant and husband James of Greenville, Debra Scott and husband Roy of Brownsboro, Roy Brumit, Jr. and wife Wanda of Garland, Myra Dennis and husband Robert of Streetman, and Thomas Brumit of Nevada; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Also surviving Mary is her sister, Wanda Fox; brothers, Bud Gothard and Bobby Gothard. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. W. Brumit, parents, Nolan T. and Lula Pearl (McLemee) Gothard; sisters, Wyvonne, Barbara Ann, Geneva, Martha Grace and Faye; also brothers Charles Lee and Pete.
Her pallbears are T.J. Brumit (grandson), Seth Avrit (grandson-in-law), Chance Harrott (grandson), Ronald Bristow (nephew), Zachary Arden (grandson-in-law), Addison Snell (grandson-in-law) and Michael Gothard (nephew).
Visitation will be Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. at Allen Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. in the Allen Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Donny Harrin officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park where she will be buried next to her husband.
