Mary Ann Giardino Reed Montpas, age 82, of Wylie, Texas, passed away November 6, 2025. Born September 30, 1943, in Rome, New York. Mary Ann was a gracious and loving woman whose kindness left a mark on everyone she met.  For over 35 years, she worked at Texas Instruments as a purchasing manager which allowed her to travel the world. She volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul and was involved with nursing home visitations as well as serving time as a sacristan at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Wylie.

She is survived by her husband, Edwin T. Montpas of Wylie, Texas, and two nieces, Mary Ann Giardino of Rome, New York, and Susan Giardino-Danielski of Westmoreland, New York, and her sister-in-law Fernanda Giardino of Rome, New York.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Thomas Reed, her brother Frank Giardino, mother Nellie Pinti Giardino, and her father Fred Giardino.

Mary Ann's friends and family will forever remember her as an other-centered person who spent much of her time focusing on the needs of others.  Her life was one of love and generosity.  Though she is gone, her warmth lives on in the countless hearts she touched.

Visitation will be held at Allen Funeral Home in Wylie on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m.  The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2025.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
