Maxine Cisson

Lelilia Maxine Cisson, 92, formerly of Wylie, Texas, passed away, peacefully, on Friday, April 21, 2017 at  the John Knox Village Care Center in Lee's Summit, MO.

She was born on April 2, 1925, a daughter of the late George and Ruby Ann (Jones) Henson.  Maxine married the late, Homer Wesley (Joe) Cisson on April 8, 1944.  She and Joe worked beside each other for several years, operating a successful grocery and tackle store near Lake Lavon in Wylie, Texas.

Maxine had a love for gardening and sewing.  She also enjoyed playing Bingo.  She previously attended and volunteered at the Senior Citizens Center in Quinlan, Texas.

In addition to her beloved husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ruby Ann (Jones) Henson; one sister, Gladys Bean and a brother, Jack Henson.

She will be greatly missed by her four daughters; Ann Hawkins (David), Royse City, Texas; Tricia Pless, Richardson, Texas; Wanda Johannesmeyer (Scott), Richardson, Texas; and Debra May (Stuart), Lee's Summit, MO; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren; three siblings; George Henson, Bill Henson and Betty Montano; and many extended family and friends.

In celebration of her life, graveside services will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Restland Cemetery (located in the Garden of Faith), 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas, 75243.
