Melba Joyce (Clark) Horn, age 85, passed peacefully at Lake Pointe Medical Center, in Rowlett, Texas on Saturday, July 28, 2018. She was born on December 10, 1932 in Tipton, Oklahoma to the late Thomas Franklin "Frank" Clark and Myrtle Clark.

Melba was preceded in death by her husband Tipton Horn, as well as, her brothers; Tommy Joe Clark, Wayne Douglas (Tim) Clark, Garry Frank Clark, Danny Glenn Clark and sisters; Hazel LaVerne Huchteman, Dorothy Jean Clark, Janet Williams, and Patsy Ruth Housewright.  Her children, James Michael "Mike" Skinner, Robin Kay Skinner, and Tracy Lee Skinner have all preceded their mother in death.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Cathy Denice "Skinner" Arnold of Copeville, Texas, as well as, her sister Shirley Spruill of Allen, Texas.  Melba was a proud grandmother to four grandchildren:  Jami Childers and husband Marvin of Gypsum, Colorado, Cody Skinner and wife Jennifer of Canton, Texas, Ashley McKie and husband Justin of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Angie Veirs and husband Steve of Scurry, Texas.  She has eleven great grand children, and two GREAT GREAT children.  Melba will be survived by numerous other family members and friends.

Melba was a working mother, spending most of her career in the field of law.  She did go on to become a certified paralegal, which was the role she retired in.  After her retirement, she dedicated her life to her family, as well as, to the Lord.  She was very active in the First Christian Church of Wylie holding various roles of responsibility.  She had a heart for service and for her large family.  Quilting and sewing were also some of her favorite pastimes, as she and her sisters were master quilt makers.
