Melvin Williams age 78, passed away on July 6, 2020 in Rowlett, Texas. Melvin was born to James Matthew Williams and Florence Shaffer on April 27, 1942 in Rosebud, Texas. Melvin survived by his Wife Shirley Marie Williams (Cook), Children; Daniel Williams and Wife Amanda, Terri Odell and Husband Paul, Michelle Melom and Husband Randy. Melvin survived by 10 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. Melvin was in the Texas National Guard and was a member of the First Assembly of God in Lavon, Texas.

Melvin was a loving husband,  father,  grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Melvin was always there to help those in need. He helped friends, family,  and strangers alike. He is is a true testimony of living by faith and living by example. Melvin's love for family was only surpassed by his love for God. We know he is in Heaven and we look forward to that reunion when we will meet again.
