Merley Von (Waits) Chandler of Garland, Texas went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on January 1, 2019, at her residence, at the age of 77 years, 3 months and 24 days. She was a faithful member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Wylie, Texas. She was born on September 7th 1941, in Summerfield, Oklahoma, and grew up in Midwest City. She graduated from Midwest City High School and attended Central State College (now The University of Central Oklahoma) and Dallas Bible College where she met her husband.

She served the Lord with her husband in ministry in Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, and Texas for over 40 years. She also worked for the states of Georgia, Tennessee, and Texas as a Clerk Typist III for over 20 years.
She was a faithful loving wife to her husband for 57 years and a great loving mother to her 4 children and a wonderful grandmother to her 4 grandchildren. She was the sweetest, kindest, selfless person you would ever meet.

She is survived by her husband: Charles L. Chandler of Garland, Texas
Two sons: Jeffrey L. Chandler and daughter -in-law Diane of Arlington, Texas; Barry A. Chandler of Hillsboro, Texas
Two daughters: Pamela D. Moore and son-in-law Terry Moore of Wylie, Texas; Carla Y. Chandler of Garland, Texas
One brother: Delbert Waits of Tulsa, Oklahoma
One sister: Brenda King of Chickasha, Oklahoma
Four grandchildren: Joshua Moore and wife Lori; Jacob Moore and wife Hana; Bradley Chandler; Staci Chandler
Two great grandchildren: Elijah Moore; Marley Moore and a host of nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her father: Robert D. Waits and her mother: Ruby M. (Wiles) Waits and one grandchild:

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Lighthouse Baptist Church from 8:30 A.M. - 10:00 A.M.

The Funeral Service will follow the visitation at the Lighthouse Baptist Church, J anuary 5, 2019, starting at 10:00 A.M.  Dr. James Rasbeary will officiate.

A Graveside service will be held on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 12 Noon in Red Springs, Texas at the Henson Cemetery.
