Michael Julian Varcoe
, age 75, was born on June 19, 1941 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada to Arthur Wallace Varcoe and Ruth Isabel (Mitchell) Varcoe and passed away on Nov. 9, 2016 in McKinney, Texas surrounded by family.
Michael moved to the states in 1968, and lived in Ohio, California, Texas and Colorado over the last almost 50 years. He was an Architectural Technologist by trade but enjoyed some success as an entrepreneur which afforded him the opportunity to follow his dreams and live out his golden years in Colorado Springs. With his best friend MD (for My Dog) by his side, he enjoyed the laid back lifestyle the city provided. Due to his failing health, he relocated back to Texas in 2013 to be closer to his adult children.
He is survived by his Children; Tracey Hansen and her husband Clifford, Bradley Varcoe and his wife Pamela Tutt and Lara Pounds and her husband Bill; the mother of his children, Susan Varcoe; Grandchildren; Hannah Leigh Hansen and Benjamin Bradley Pounds, Brothers; Bernard Varcoe and Patrick Varcoe, Sister; Mary Varcoe and numerous nieces and a nephew.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at Allen Funeral Home of Wylie, TX on Saturday Nov. 12, 2016 from 3pm till 5pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to DFW Cocker Spaniel Rescue, PO Box 863704, Plano, TX 75086 or online at http://dfwcockerrescue.org/donate.shtml
