Mildred Woods of Garland passed away on September 25, 2016 in Wylie at the age of 87 surrounded by her family.  Mildred was born on August 6, 1929 in Hitchita, Oklahoma to parents Thomas Alonzo Nichols and Bessie McNeil Nichols.

Mildred married George Ray Woods and together they raised three children.  Mildred was a stay at home mom ad enjoyed being able to be there for her children and husband.

Surviving Mildred are her children, Jeanetta Sanders of Lucas and Tommy Joel Woods of Royse City; her sibling, Sherman Lee Nichols of Tyler, Jack Nichols of Nevada, Butch Nichols of Sachse and Pauline Dalton of Salone, Arizona; and her 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.  Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her son, Jerry Ray Woods.

Visitation for Mildred will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at Allen Funeral Home.  The service celebrating her life will be on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 11:00 A.M.  She will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Rockwall Memorial Cemetery.
