Myrtle Ruth Wolverton age 89, passed away on August 7, 2023 at her home in Copeville, Texas. Myrtle was born to Bonnie Burton Carroll and Frances Jane Patterson on April 9, 1934 in Celeste, Texas. Myrtle was of the Baptist Faith.  As not having a "formal" education she continued her education as a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and and a loving friend.

Myrtle married William Robert Wolverton on April 29,1950 in Greenville, Texas.  He had preceded her in death.

Myrtle is survived by her children; William Dale Wolverton of Nevada, Texas, Andrew Neal Wolverton of Little Elm, Texas, Delia Cornett of Wylie, Texas, Loretta Cox of Haslet, Texas, Juanita Barbo of Ladson, South Carolina, Barbara McGowan of Nevada, Texas, Angela Gay of Josephine, Texas, Lisa Wolverton of Copeville, Texas and Linda Vincze of Wylie, Texas.  Her life's legacy includes her children 28 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and soon to by 3 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation is Thursday August 10, 2023 at the Allen Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 - 8:00 PM.  The funeral service is Saturday August 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM.   Dr. AL Draper will be officiating the service.  Burial will follow at Thompson Cemetery.
