Otis Delmar Marquardt

Otis Marquardt passed away on Thursday Dec 24, 2022 in Garland Texas at the age of 88. Otis was born
on June 17, 1934 in the small town of Van Meter Iowa. His parents are the late Carl Otto and Doris Fae
(Stump) Marquardt. He met Verla Jean Long while living in Van Meter and they wed on June 7, 1953 in
Adel Iowa. Otis worked as a mechanic his entire life. Besides working outside the home he was a loving
husband and father.
Surviving Otis is his daughters, Judith Ann Stark and husband Alan of Garland Texas, Laurie Marquardt of
Adel Iowa and brother Gordon Marquardt of Adel Iowa. 5 grandchildren, Jason Stark, Casey
Cunningham, Tait Cunningham, Megan Christensen, and Taelor Christensen (Jimmie Pirillo), 4 great�grandchildren. His wife, parents and brother Lester Marquardt preceded him in death.
He has gone home to his Lord and even though we will miss him, we know he is in a much better place
and with his wife of 68 years again.
