Peg Mason, 91, passed away at her residence in Plano on Sunday December 13, 2020. She was born on Friday, October 18, 1929 in Valley Stream, New York.  Her parents were the late Edwin and Annetta (Budd) Godden.  Peg married Charles (Bud) Mason in Wellsville, New York on November 20, 1984.  Bud passed away December 15, 2012.

Being of the Baptist faith she and Bud  joined the First Baptist Church of Wylie. They were active in the church activities, Peg particularly through her music. Peg was a gifted musician and would play the piano for funerals and choir rehearsals. Peg enjoyed time at the Happy Circle gatherings and would play piano at the monthly Happy Circle gatherings.  Peg was a member of the Silver Chords Choir and the Sanctuary Choir. She was a featured soloist with the Silver Chords Choir and the Sanctuary Choir.  For many years she would sing "O Holy Night" for the Christmas Eve services.

Surviving Peg are her children, William Drinkwater of Austin, Texas, Peggy Hendrix and Bonnie Lawrenz both of Richardson, Texas.  She also leaves behind a legacy of 6 grandchildren who were the pride of her life.  Peg was preceded in death by parents, Edwin and Annetta Godden and husband Bud Mason.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at the FBC - Wylie.
