Peggy Ruth Stephens, 90, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2020 in Wylie with her family at her bedside.  Peggy was born on Friday, January 24, 1930 in the small town of Chillicothe, Texas.  Her parents are the late Joe and Bonnie (Jenkins) Stephens.  Peggy grew up in Whitewright  Texas and surrounding areas.  She married Rendell Freeman on July 27, 1946. Later they moved to Honey Grove, Texas where they farmed, ranched, and raised their three children.

Surviving Peggy are her children, Druecella Freeman, Shree Sandifeer of Wylie, Texas and John Freeman and wife Sandy of Lake Creek, Texas; sister, Pauline Hawkins of Denison, Texas and brother, Cears Stephens of Arlington, Texas.  She also leaves behind her 7 grandchildren, Colette Rogers and husband Joe Dan, Bubba Sandifeer and fiancé Megan, John Russell Freeman II, Clint Freeman, Marisa Freeman, Kirk Albert and Kip Fisher.6 great-grandchildren,8 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by parents, 2 half-brothers, 1 half-sister, 4 brothers, 1 sister, her husband and son-in-law Jerry Joe Sandifeer.

A graveside service will be held for Peggy on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at the Vittitoe Cemetery.  372 Andy Thomas Road Whitewright, Texas 75491
