Richard Mark Ensley, 61, of Lavon, Texas passed away on Friday, October 6, 2017 at his home.  He was born on May 10, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio to his late parents, Byron Kaye Ensley and Joe Anne (Scott) Ensley.

Richard joined and served in the United States Army for four years and had the opportunity to travel overseas during that time.  He enjoyed a long career in field support of bank security systems.  His many passions included spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, and boating with loved ones. He also enjoyed cooking and barbecuing.  Richard's heart overflowed with love for his family and friends and cherished every moment with them.

He is survived by his two brothers and five sisters, Kaye Bly of New Lexington, Ohio, Mike Ensley of Lithopolis, Ohio, Sue Prowell of New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, Joe Ensley of Columbus, Ohio, Bonnie Chandler of Lavon, Texas, Kathy Hall of Newark, Ohio, and Mary Weekly of Gahanna, Ohio; 16 nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Richard's life will be held at his home with a potluck dinner at 512 Lake Road in Lavon, Texas on Saturday, October 14 between 4:00 and 6:00 P. M.  Services will be followed at the Mifflin Township Cemetery in Gahanna, Ohio with the date to be determined.
