Richard F. Kaufmann, 70 years 2 months and 30 days, passed away in Richardson on Thursday, June 3, 2021.  He had been born in Brooklyn, New York on Sunday March 4, 1951 to his father Frederick H. Kaufmann and his late mother Gloria Richard. After graduating high school, he attended Paul Smith's College in upstate New  York and earned an Associate's degree in Forestry. He later joined the United States Army Reserves. After leaving the Army he met the love of his life, Beverly Ann Rosavitch and they married on June 22, 1974 in Blue Point, New York. Richard had worked for the New York Telephone company as an Engineer.

Surviving him is his wife of 46 years, Beverly Ann Kaufmann of Wylie; his children, Richard F. Kaufmann, Jr. and wife Kelsey of Farmersville, Christine Bruns and husband Robert of DuPont, WA, and Emily Kaufmann Brittain of Wylie; father, Frederick H. Kaufmann; 2 sisters, Penelope Fox and husband Robert, and Ellen Kaufmann.  He also leaves behind a legacy of 4 grandchildren, Kaleb Kaufmann, Michael Bruns, Audrey Brittain and Alexander Brittain.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Richard.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the Allen Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 14, 202, 10:30 A.M. at the Lakeview Cemetery in Lavon, Texas. Dr. A.L. Draper will officiate.
