Richard Lee Phillips, age 60, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2020. Lee, as everyone knew him, was born January 24, 1960 in Dallas, Texas, and was the caring son of the late James Roark Phillips and Mildred (Keller) Phillips.

Lee grew up in Richardson, graduated from Richardson High School, and worked at Applied Optics Center for over 40 years. He lived life to the fullest, enjoying hunting, fishing, and traveling the great outdoors, especially by motorcycle. Lee always enjoyed riding his Harley, and his free spirit and smile were always boldly on display.

Lee is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Meagan and Jonathan Martinez; grandchildren Chandler and Corben Martinez; fiancé Elia Silva; and siblings Mildred "Midge" Claiborne, James Roark Phillips, Jr., and Michael Phillips. He will be greatly missed by his many friends, relatives, co-workers, and everyone who knew and loved him.

A small family memorial will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 720 Floyd Rd., Richardson, TX 75080 at 11am. Immediately following the service will be a motorcycle processional to Bear Creek Ranch, 1045 Bear Creek Ranch, Nevada, TX 75173. The family asks that everyone who rode with him meet at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church at 12:15pm on your bike to join him on his final ride at 12:30pm.

If not joining in the motorcycle processional, please plan to arrive at Bear Creek Ranch before 1pm to witness the arrival. The family will have food and libations and wants to encourage friends, family, and co-workers to celebrate the amazing man Lee was.
