Richard Loyde Purvis, 90, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2020 in Richardson with his wife by his side. He was born on Friday, June, 20, 1930 in Jefferson, Iowa to his late parents Hobert McKinley and Edith Marie (Henry) Purvis. After high school Richard joined the Air Force and served during the Korean War and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant in September 1953.  Prior to his retirement Richard worked for Texas Instruments in Facilities.  He had been married to Shirley for 25 years, celebrating their anniversary on July 1.

Surviving Richard is his wife Shirley Purvis; children, Brian Purvis, Barbara Kay Jones, Leslie Snell, Danny Paschall and Alicia Paschal; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  Richard was preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers, 2 sisters and his first wife of 35 years, Joyce N. Purvis .

Richard will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
