Major Robert Tillman Barrentine passed October 1st 2025 at the age of 91. He was born in Greenwood Mississippi November 26 1933 to Azariah and Velma Barrentine. He attended Greenwood High School and went on to Mississippi State to receive a bachelors degree in business administration. Robert joined the Army, made it a career and traveled abroad multiple times with the family. He was also stationed in Korea twice and Vietnam while the family stayed stateside. He was married to Marjorie Lavinia Kapp for 64 years until her passing in 2021. They have 5 surviving children, Beverly (Ace) Barrentine , Carolyn Barrentine , Gwen Barrentine Rider and her husband Jeff Rider, sons Tyler and Mason, Robert Barrentine Jr. and daughters Harlea Barrentine (passed), Samantha Barrentine Kullas, her husband Nick Kullas and daughter Lavinia, and the youngest daughter Saline Barrentine. Robert was proceeded in death by his mother, father and sister Dorothy Barrentine Moser and her husband Tracy Moser and granddaughter Harlea Barrentine. The first cousins are Jack and Tracy Moser, Michelle Moser and Debbie Moser Roberts husband Mark Roberts and son Dillon.
