Robert "Bob" Lavelle Boone II, of Wylie, Texas passed away on Thursday September 29, 2022 at the age of 62 years old. After months of failing health, he died peacefully within his home with his Beloved wife, Sue, son Kenny and wife Cassie; daughter Misty and husband Philip; as well as his seven grandchildren by his side.

Bob was born on October 9, 1959 in New Orleans, LA to Robert L Boone and Arlene I Boone. As a boy he lived wherever his military father was stationed…from Cuba, France, Washington, North Carolina, Florida and Mississippi.

As a young man he followed in his father's footsteps and joined the military, in the Air Force, himself. After almost 10 years of service he joined civilian life. He moved his family to North Texas where he began a 29 year career at North Texas Municipal Water District. The past six years, Bob has enjoyed the leisurely life of retirement.

In late 1977, Bob met the love of his life, Sue. They were married November 3, 1978 and have lived inseparable for almost 44 years. Together they raised their 2 children right here in Wylie.

Bob loved music and liked to play a harmonica and a bit of piano. He also enjoyed to sing a bit. He always enjoyed a good football game…especially if the Saints were playing. He loved to be with family and was always up for a gathering of friends. He was a strong patriarch of his family, a good friend to all, a man who would give his shirt for a friend.

He was a good father who always took care of his children and did the best he could to teach and guide them, and a loving grandfather.

Bob was a strong, proud and good man. He is loved and will be missed by many!

He is preceded in death by parents, Robert L Boone Sr. and Arlene I Boone; and sister, Dianne Jacobs.

Bob is survived by loving wife, Sue Boone of Wylie, Texas; son, Kenny and wife Cassie Boone of Wylie, and daughter Misty and husband Philip Brua of Copeville; 7 Grandchildren, Peyton and Aiden Boone and Natalie, Micaele, Eathan, Kierstin, and Gage Brua; brother Ray and wife Judy Boone of Benbrook; nephew Jordan Boone and other beloved friends and relatives.

The Viewing will be held Thursday, October 6 at Allen Funeral Home in Wylie from 6:00-8:00 pm.

Instead of flowers please send potted plants.

The Funeral will be held Friday, October 7 at Allen Funeral Home in Wylie at 2:00 pm.

A private Burial Service will be held the following week at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
