Robert John Crouse Sr.

He leaves behind his devoted wife Starr Crouse.

In addition are his twin daughters Janelle Faunce (husband Benjamin) and granddaughter Xena & Jillian Crouse (fiancé James Sacchetti.) Robert is also survived by his dear sister Barbara and the Hrankowsky family; brother-in-law Hank & nephew, as well as his grand niece and nephew, Mia and Mac. He also leaves behind his loving stepdaughter Tammy Carr and husband Jeremy along with grandchildren Vincent Campiti, Peyton Childs, and Kenzie Gajary.

John is predeceased by both of his parents and daughter Joan Crouse.

He worked as a systems analyst and software developer all throughout his decades long career across the country.

Robert John was a high school (Bishop Kearney HS Class of 66') and college graduate (The College at Brockport, State University of NY & Pratt Institute earning a MFA in Studio Art.)

He enlisted in the US Army on April 24th,1967 departing from Buffalo, New York. He was stationed at Fort Monmouth and was educated in Microwave Radio Repair in 1968.

His service in Vietnam began March 14th, 1968 and ended February 22nd, 1969. His rank was SP4 (Specialist 4th Class), and he received multiple awards and commendations. Awarded were: (1) Sharpshooter Ridge (Rifle M-16), (2) Marksman Ridge (Rifle M-14), (3) Two Army Overseas Service Bars, the (4) Army Good Conduct Medal (GCM 1st Award), the (5) Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal (VCM) with "1960-" device, & a (6) Vietnam Service Medal (VSM) with four service stars.

Robert, who often went by John, enjoyed watching movies & attending the theater and concerts. He also had fun traveling to casinos around the country with his wife; and testing his luck while skillfully playing poker.

He and his wife thoroughly enjoyed country line dancing (amongst other forms) and performing karaoke (and hosting karaoke events) as often as they could.

He was an avid animal enthusiast who owned and rode horses. A pig, goat, chickens, and even a donkey were a part of his family farm for years; as well as many other pets. His sweet dog Bailey will miss him dearly.

He loved gathering his family and cooking for himself and others. He believed in trying any type of adventurous food once. A favorite pastime of his was fishing. He's now Gone Fishin' for that biggest catch.

In lieu of flowers the family welcomes donations to a cause that was close to John's heart; the ASPCA.
