Robert "Bob" Windell Heath
Age 82, of Wylie, Texas, passed away on March 7, 2025.

Bob was born and raised as a farm boy, learning the value of hard work and the peace that comes from nature. As a young man, he developed a love for farming. Later in his life he spent many years raising goats, donkeys, sheep, chickens, and even llamas on his own farm, "Hideaway Haven" in Parker, Texas.

Bob's work ethic was instilled in him at an early age under the mentorship of his father, Bill, a Master Plumber. Bob's exposure to construction led him to a lifelong passion for restoring old buildings. His handiwork can be found throughout the downtown area of Wylie, where he leaves a lasting legacy of craftsmanship; several of the buildings along Ballard street boast the names of Bob's family.

Bob had a deep love for family and friends. He found joy in bringing people together, whether it was for a friendly game of dominoes, a thrilling ride on a four-wheeler, or sharing a decadent meal (often with a generous dose of sugar). He made community where ever he went and was a proud native Texan and citizen of Wylie.

In 1964, Bob met and married Dorothy Woodworth an intelligent, godly, and as Bob often said, "prettiest gal in town". They were married on January 24th 1964 in Goleda, California and within five years had three children. After attending Bible Baptist College in Missouri, Bob and Dorothy juggled family life and ministry as a team. Although Bob pivoted from being a pastor to working in real estate, he and Dorothy remained active in their church leading a small group, participating in and sponsoring mission trips to other countries, and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

He is survived by his children, Robert Wayne Heath, Denise Ailene Gay, and Daniel Heath, as well as his grandchildren, Chance, Waelynn, and Dean Heath.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Louise Heath, his brother Joe Heath, and his beloved wife of 54 years, Dorothy Lora Heath.

All are welcome to join the services to honor Bob's life. A visitation will be held at Allen Funeral Home on Sunday, March 23rd from 6:00 to 8:00pm. A funeral service will take place at Cross Church of Wylie on Monday March 24th at 2:00pm. Bob will be laid to rest at Lake View Cemetery in Lavon next to his late wife Dorothy.
