Robert (Bob) Julius Wardenburg, 86, was one of twin sons born to Fred & Betty Wardenburg on January 23, 1932 in Williamsburg, Iowa.  He received the washing of Holy Baptism on February 12, 1932 and attended Immanuel Lutheran School from where he was confirmed.  He serviced in the Army from 1951-53 and was stationed in Germany.    On August 15, 1954 he was married to Lillian Ficken and the union was blessed with 6 children.   They divorced in 1968.  Bob relocated to Odessa, Texas where he was a Hot Shot driver for the oil industry.   He also helped his special friend, Linda Kensing, with her drapery business.    He moved to Wylie in 2013 and had failing health in the last four years.  A Memorial service will be held March 10, 2:00 pm at Faith Lutheran Church, Wylie.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters, and one daughter, and friend, Linda Kensing.    He is survived by one brother, Wayne Wardenburg, Williamsburg, IA; three sons: Philip (Anita) Wardenburg of Creston, IA, Joel (Diane) Wardenburg of Brookfield, CT, and Daniel Wardenburg of Marengo, IA.  Two daughters: Roberta (Brad) Lowery of Wylie, TX, and Ann (Stephen) Scholz of Northwood, NH.  Also 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services, Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at the Gooch Cemetery, Mason, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, a Robert Wardenburg Memorial has been established.
