Our loving wonderful caring Robin went to our Lord on September 1, 2021 and no longer suffers through the trials of this world.  Through her faith in the Lord, she saved our lives from despair and forever changed us for the good. We miss her so very much and will always remember her beautiful smile, laughter, empathy and love of all people, and most importantly, her love and nurturing of our family.

Robin was born October 2, 1961 to David Lewis and Ethel Toyer in Shreveport, LA.  Growing up in the Cooper Road area, she went on to graduate from Green Oaks High School.  After graduation, she relocated to the Dallas, TX area where she met the love of her life, Eric Bates and was joined in matrimony.  She was a wonderful homemaker to her husband and family.  She made her church home at Wylie Methodist.

She is proceeded in eternal life by her father, David Lewis Sr. and her mothers, Ethel Toyer & Ida Pearl Lewis; her siblings Johnny Lewis Sr. & Betty Hardman.  She leaves to cherish her memory, her amazing husband, Eric Bates; her beloved three sons; Darryl Lewis Sr. (Renata), Jeffery Miller (Jennifer) & DeLarrious Miller; her siblings:  David Lewis Jr, Lynda Lewis, Michael Lewis (Faye), Kim Lewis & Tammy Lewis-Williams (Reynald); grandchildren; Tytiana, Dee-Dee, Darryl Jr, Dounte & Deja and one great grandchild, Aiezah; two very special nieces, Stephanie Johnson and Jamesha Lewis; and a host of relatives, friends and loved ones.
