Rod Bledsaw was born in Decatur, Illinois on Feb. 22, 1953, only son of Don And Erma Babcock -Bledsaw. Rod proudly served in the Marines Corp. and obtained an M.B.A. from Eastern Illinois University.

After he graduated Rod moved to Dallas and met the love of his life, Wanda Axline-Bledsaw. They were married October 8, 1982. Rod continued his zest for Construction and later retired from Alcatel.

Their children are Brook Bledsaw-Katin, Beri Lynn andCarl Clark, and Joe Katin. The Bledsaw's havefour awesome grandchildren: Jordan and Jami Katin, Taniaand Ian Clark. Rod is preceded in death by his parents, sister Donna Bledsaw-Parks and baby grand daughterKatelynn Clark. Rod had a host of nephews and nieces, relatives, friends, and wonderful neighbors.

Rod had a great love for life.  God, Country and Family were always a priority in his lifetime of achievements. He was loved by all.

Funeral service are Sunday, March 12, 2017 at 1:30 P.M. at the Blessing Funeral Home Chapel in Mansfield.  Dr. A. L. Draper will be officiating.  Rod will be buried at the Tye Cemetery in Burleson, Texas.
