Royce Edward Daniels, age 77, of Lavon, Texas, entered peacefully into his eternal life on Saturday, January 10, 2026, surrounded by family and love at his home.

Royce was born in McKinney, Texas, on January 15, 1948, to Ida and Charles Daniels.

He proudly served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. After returning home, Royce met the one who would become the love of his life, Janie Justiss on a blind date, and they were married on February 14th, 1972, at First Baptist Church of Lavon, where he faithfully served as a deacon. Royce loved the Lord and was a faithful servant throughout his life. Together he and Janie raised two sons, Justin Edward and Matthew Royce.

Royce worked for Honeywell Automotive Aftermarket, and his career took the family to Portland and Leander, Texas, before they returned home to Lavon, where they settled permanently.

As a father, Royce was an active Boy Scout leader, athletic coach, and steady presence in his sons' lives. As a grandfather, he delighted in cheering courtside at games and spending time with his cherished grandchildren, teaching them how to drive and swim, and instilling an excitement for celebrating holidays, especially Christmas.

A lifelong music lover, guitar player and devoted Elvis fan, one of Roy's dreams was fulfilled when he and Janie celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to Graceland.

Royce will be remembered for his love for the Lord, devotion to family, his quiet strength, and the patience, love, compassion and generosity he shared with all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Janie Daniels; his sons, Justin Daniels and wife Joy of Fate, Texas, and Matthew Daniels and wife Catherine of Plano, Texas; and his grandchildren, Sydney, Kylie, Maci, Ender, and Eleanor Daniels.
