Sally Ann (Roberts) Drummond, 86, a long-time resident of Indianapolis, IN, passed away peacefully in Wylie, TX, on March 3, 2018 with family present to love her through the gates of heaven.  Sally was born in Saginaw, MI, on October 3, 1931 to Louis and Ruth Roberts. She is survived by her five children, including Janet (Tom) Welch of Indianapolis, IN, David (Pam) Drummond of Wylie, TX, Thomas (Tammy) Drummond of Garland, TX, Linda Reuther of Lebanon, IN, and Donald Drummond of Brownsburg, IN, as well as a brother, Glen (Judy) Roberts of Gaylord, MI, and cousin, Pat (Gladys) Rourke of Rockford, IL.  She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Drummond; grandson, Ernest Reuther; and brothers, Harry Roberts, Jimmy Roberts, and Phil Roberts.

Sally was a graduate of Highland Park High School in Highland Park, MI, where she met the love of her life, William (Bill) Drummond.  They were married on September 6, 1952 at Grace Lutheran Church in Highland Park, MI.  After years of being a stay-at-home Mom, Sally studied nursing at J Everett Light Career Center and became an LPN in 1976.  Although she enjoyed a successful nursing career working in private physician practice, home care, and extended care, her greatest sense of pride came from doting on her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren -- oh, and beating them all at 65 cent rummy, which she did quite regularly.  Sally was truly the Drummond family matriarch; and was dearly loved by family and friends alike.  She was a charter member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Indianapolis where she actively contributed at various church functions, served as a member of the Ladies Alter Guild, and was instrumental in establishing and organizing a monthly women's fellowship luncheon, which continues to thrive to this day.
