Sammie Anderson of Wylie passed away Friday, September 23, 2016 in Allen, Texas at the age of 81 surrounded by her family.  Sammie was born in Lavon on Tuesday, January 8, 1935 to parents, Samuel Lewis Skipwith and Gertrude Beatrice (Yates) Skipwith.

Sammie moved to Wylie and made it her home where she raised her three children.  Sammie worked as a book keeper for Johnston's Children's Clothing Manufacturer until Johnston's closed their doors.  After Johnston's closed she worked for years at the Children's store in Wylie.  She later went to work at Tony James CPA office as book keeper at the front desk where she got to work with all the people coming into the office.  Sammie never met a stranger and always had a smile and would take the time to talk to them.

Sammie was a loving person who always thought of others before she thought of herself.  She loved her family and they were her life, she was always proud of their accomplishments and loved to talk about them.

Sammie is survived by her children, Larry Martin and his wife Jackie, Robyn Stankiewiez and her husband Joe, and Carmen Croley and her husband Jess.  She is survived by her eight grandchildren; Jeremy, Jamie, Dusty, Bubba, Jill, McKenna, Alex, and Dalton along with the 10 great grandchildren who she cherished.

She is also survived by her brother, Bobby Skipwith and his wife Wanda and many other family and friends..  Preceding Sammie in death were her parents, half brother, Jess R. James and half sister, Mary Jane Inman.

Visitation for Sammie will be held on Monday, September 26, 2016 from 7:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. at Allen Funeral Home. The service celebrating her life will be on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 10:00 A.M.  Rev. Tim James and Rev. Derek Draper will officiate.  Interment will follow at Millwood Cemetery in Lavon.
