Samuel (Sam) Henry Finch, Jr. 81, of Wylie, Texas passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 in Plano, Texas.  Sam was born on Sunday, February 7, 1943 in Marlin, Texas to the late Samuel Henry Finch and Annie Mae Woodland Finch.  He was retired from Southland Corporation as a production manager.  Sam married Janis Lynn McWhirter on Saturday, June 2, 1962 in Lubbock, Texas.  He was a member of the Dairy Association and Wylie Optimist Club and a member of the Wylie United Methodist Church.

Sam is survived by his wife of 62 years Janis Lynn Finch of Wylie, Texas; son Michael (Scot) Finch and wife Joanie of Enchanted Oaks, Texas; sister Flo White of Westville, Oklahoma; 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
