Scott Lee Meyers, 68, passed away peacefully in his home with his wife and children by his side on December 13, 2020. "Spike", as he was affectionately known, was born in Dallas to Norman and Kitty Meyers on August 24, 1952. Spike married his high school sweetheart, Sheila, in 1969, and they celebrated their 51 ^st wedding anniversary this year.  They shared the pride of their two sons, Zack and Josh, and mourned the loss of their daughter, Sonya, in 2012.

In addition to his wife and sons, Spike is survived by Sonya's husband Tony and their children Nicholas and Kaitlyn, Zack's wife Joshila and their children Sophia and Cohen, and Josh's wife JoDee and their children Marlee and Campbell.  He is also survived by his brother John and sister Norma "Punkin" Hale, as well as many nieces and nephews. He loved and cherished all of them deeply.

Spike had a spirited personality and always had a good time making the people around him smile. He enjoyed hunting, gambling, telling stories and spending time with his friends and family.  He especially took joy in playing and joking around with his grandchildren, who lovingly called him "Pops".  Always a dedicated father, Spike adored his family and instilled in his sons' strong values that have served them well.

Due to restrictions of COVID the family will hold a Celebration of Life for Spike in late spring or early summer when more family and friends can attend and honor his life and love.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that Scott Meyers be honored in death through memorial donations to the Baylor Scott and White Foundation .
