Shannon Dale Howard, age 53, of Lavon, Texas, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, July 25 ^th , 2022.  He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Regan Howard, children Russell, Cody, Kristen and Billy as well as his father, Jerry Howard, Stepmother Brenda Howard, brother Jerry Glenn Howard, sister Tina Kesterson, aunts, uncles, cousins and adored nieces and nephews. He is preceded in passing by his mother, Alice Ruth Howard and grandparents Albert and Christine Wester.

Shannon was born April 10 ^th 1969 in Wylie, Texas at the Wylie Clinic.He loved his hometown of Wylie.  After his mother's passing when he was barely 6 years old, he was raised in Wylie by his grandparents, Albert and Christine. He was relatively shy growing up unless he knew you well.  His years at Wylie High School were transformative as he found football, something he excelled in.He could recollect opponents by name, game details, scores (good or bad), plays and everything else about playing for Coach Jerry Shaffer.  Glorious days and tales he loved to share.  He graduated in 1987.  Shannon began working very young to support his grandmother after his grandfather passed way and had an incredible work ethic. Sometimes giving 110% wasn't even good enough.  He built a loving family and his profession in Maintenance through his years.  Coaching soccer became a priority when each of his children reached ages of eligibility to play.  He always coached life lessons as well as the sport itself.  That's how he had been coached and he knew how much of a difference it made in his life and he wanted to emulate that.  He made it matter and changed lives.

He was loved by so many and has made amazing impacts in his personal and professional life.  Shannon loved large and fiercely and will be unbelievably missed.  His family is so overwhelmed and grateful for the outpouring of love in the moments after his passing and beyond.  Please join them in celebrating Shannon's incredible life lived.
