Sharon Louise Tamburine Coody, loving daughter, sister, mother and friend passed away early Thursday morning, May 17, 2018, at home with family.  She dedicated her life to helping others.  In her journey through this life, she moved through many roles as teacher, counselor, spiritual guide, coach and author, all with the common thread of helping others become their best, most honest selves.  Through her caring demeanor and gift for healing, she deeply touched everyone who had the good fortune to know her.  She attended LaMarque High School and University of Houston and Graduated cum laude from Texas Women's University with a Master's Degree in Special Education.  She enjoyed traveling and visited many foreign countries as a member of charity groups or as an individual adventurer, or with her family. Some of those places visited included Romania, India, Italy, Germany, England, Mexico, and Costa Rica.

Preceded in death by her father, Joseph John Tamburine, of La Marque, TX, she is survived by her daughter, Kristen Coody, mother, Edan Tamburine, brother Scott Tamburine, sisters Debra McCarthy and Gina Silverstein, nieces, Kelley Craven, Meagan McCarthy, Ashely Massey, Molly McCarthy, and nephew Joseph (Jet) Tamburine.

Services will be held at Mt. Olivet cemetery in Dickinson, TX at a future date, with a local memorial being announced in the coming days. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
