Tomasa Contreras, 80 years old, left this world to be with her heavenly Father on April 16, 2023 at her residence in Wylie. She was born in the South Texas town of Donna to parents Ignacio Deleon and Paula Lugo Deleon on September 15, 1942.  Tomasa grew up in Donna where she met her future husband Florencio Contreras, Jr.  They were married on August 14, 1966 in Donna.  Together they raised 4 children in Dallas.  She enjoyed being a wife and mother.  Later on they moved to Wylie to retire. Tomasa was strong in her faith and attended the St. Anthony Catholic Church of Wylie.

Tomasa is survived by her husband of 56 years, Florencio Contreras Jr., her children and their spouses, Thelma Contreras Nuncio and Joseph of Wylie, Florencio Contreras III and Vickie of Duncan, OK, Nelda Denice Contreras of Wylie, Samuel Contreras and Renee Lee of Kyle, Texas and Shannon Truax and Travis of Duncan, OK.  She shall be remembered by her 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

The family will have a rosary and visitation on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the Allen Funeral Home Chapel.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Tomasa on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Anthony Catholic Church .

Her graveside burial will be held at the Dallas-Forth National Cemetery beginning at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 27, 2023.
