Travis Ryan Buckthorpe, 36, of Josephine Texas went home to be with the Lord on May 20, 2026. He was born in Mesquite, Texas on April 15, 1990, to Dana Blatney and George Buckthorpe. He lived most of his life in the Dallas area and was an insurance claims specialist.

Travis is survived by his wife, Bethany Buckthorpe; his sons Atticus and Leo; his grandmother Pat Blatney; his mother Dana Blatney; his in-laws Esther and Bob Cowperthwait; sister-in-law Madison Cowperthwait; brother Josh Buckthorpe; sisters Jessica Buckthorpe and Jennifer Hill; his aunt Kim; his uncle Philip; and his great aunt Paula.

Travis was a family man, and loved Bethany and the boys. He loved to travel, and he especially loved National Parks. He had been to 37 of the US states, and 38 National Parks. Travis was active in sports, and enjoyed playing basketball and soccer. He had a dry wit and loved to cut up playing games with family and friends, especially his best buddy Josh.

Travis, you are missed; we will see you again in heaven. You brought so much joy to those around you, and we will forever treasure the time we had with you. With all of our love, your family.
