Virginia Earnestine Marlow

Virginia Marlow, age 79 of Wylie, Texas passed away on September 24, 2021. She was born in Lavon, Texas on December 1, 1941.

She married her high school sweetheart, Edward Leo Marlow on May 29, 1959.  They raised three daughters, Deborah, Rhonda and Laura.

In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, watching wrestling and her favorite soap operas. Jenny, as she was known to friends and family was always excited to play dominoes and card games. She loved spending time with her daughters and being a homemaker for her family. After Leo passed in 2020, she wanted to fulfill a longtime dream of moving to Garland and her daughters were happy to make that happen.

Virginia is survived by daughters, Deborah Thomas, Rhonda Gibson and Laura Marlow-Hawkins, grandchildren Joshua Thomas and spouse Jamie Thomas, Matthew Buchanan and spouse Brittany Buchanan and Kayden Hawkins, great grandchildren Carter and Karlee Thomas, Bailey and Sophia Gibbs, Avery and Riley Buchanan, sister-n-law Patsy Thompson and spouse Gene Thompson including many other family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Earnest & Virginia Frye, T C & Irene Frye, sister Margie Orr and her spouse Leo Marlow.

The graveside service will be held at Restland on Saturday, October 2nd at 10:30 am in the Garden of Gethsemane. The family asks everyone to wear a mask for their safety and all who attend the service.

The Marlow family wishes to thank each staff member at Methodist Richardson Medical Center for the compassionate care she received and a special thank you to her nurse Julie who was with her when she passed.
