On March 13, 2020 a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather,Warner Blair Washington, Jr.,passed away at the age of 86.

Warner was born on February 20th, 1934 in Clarksville, Texas to Warner B. Washington, Sr. and Mignon McMillan Washington in Clarksville, Texas. He received his bachelor's degree from Southern Methodist University. After graduating, he attended the Berkeley Episcopal Divinity School at Yale and was ordained into the priesthood in 1958. It was while he was attending Berkeley that he met the love of his life, Geraldine Merle Witkop, who was teaching school in Milford Connecticut.They married within a year and moved to Texas where he served his first congregation.Then, after four years in the ministry, he served in the United States Air Force for eight years. After retiring from the service, Warner moved his family to Stephenville, Texas, in 1971 where he served as the minister of St. Luke's Episicopal Church. After serving the church he went on to work for MHMR services as a dependency counselor and they lived in Stephenville where they raised two children, Warner Blair Washington, III and Mary Washington Kirkpatrick.

After a brief time in Kerrville, Texas, Warner and Geraldine later settled in Wylie, Texas in 1997 where they were active in the community. Warner was a member of Lion's Club, Rotary Club, the Chamber of Commerce, and a chaplain in the American Legion. Warner became a Roman Catholic Deacon and served in parishes in Stephenville, Wylie, Rockwall, and Plano.

Warner is preceded in death by his father Warner, mother Mignon, grand-daughter Alexis Washington and great-granddaughter, Kendall Brink. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine, his children Warner and Mary, his grandchildren, Amanda Clark, Hailey Brink, Miles Kirkpatrick, and Sammy Washington, great-grandchildren Riley Washington, Wesley Washington, Haven Brink and Sloan Clark.

A burial with honors will be held at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery to be announced at a later date.
