Wayne Harold Allen, aged 93, passed away on September 4, 2025, in Bonham, Texas. Born on June 6, 1932, Wayne led a life marked by dedication to his family, his work, and his community. Wayne served in the United States Air Force for four years during the Korean War, an experience that shaped much of his early life. Following his military service, he embarked on a long and successful career spanning over six decades. Wayne started in the oil fields before founding a radiator shop, which he expanded to include windshield installation. He operated his business in Dallas, Sherman, and finally in Josephine, Texas, serving the North Texas area with dedication and skill. Family was the cornerstone of Wayne's life. He was always seen smiling and laughing, a testament to his joyful spirit. He deeply loved his wife, Mary Allen, until her passing. Wayne's love extended to his horses and the rodeo in his younger years, and he was a staunch supporter of the Josephine Fire Department. His commitment to community service was further demonstrated when he supported the building of the Josephine Fire Department station in 2005. Wayne also had a passion for travel, often taking his family on trips in their RV to the coast. He cherished family gatherings and took great joy in cooking for his loved ones. Wayne is survived by his sisters-in-law Melba Jones and Joanne Eaves, nieces Sherry Hall, Linda Murphy, Susan Allen, Jan Allen, Shelly Hendricks Tucker and husband Adam,  nephews Ryan Hendricks and wife Lisa, Mark Allen, along with great-nieces and nephews Brandy & Darrin Fulfer, Matthew Caldwell, Michael Shea, Sarah Shea, Abby Shea, Johnathon Hendricks, Jared Moore, Justin Moore, and Zachary Hendricks. He also leaves behind many great-great-nieces and nephews, as well as great-great-great-nieces and nephews, and numerous other family members and friends who he thought of as family. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents Minnie May Dorsett and R.D. Allen, his beloved wife Mary Allen, and brothers Bobby Allen and Donald Allen. Visitation will be held at Allen Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 6-8 PM. The funeral service will be at Allen Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 10:30 AM, followed by interment at Valley Creek Cemetery in Leonard, Texas. Wayne's life and legacy will be honored as he is laid to rest.
