Wayne Wilbur Ross
December 5, 1952 – October 20, 2025

Wayne Wilbur Ross passed away peacefully at home on October 20, 2025, after an extended illness. He was born on December 5, 1952, in Emporia, Kansas, to Charles Robert and Helen (Fredelake) Ross.

In 1979, Wayne moved to Texas, where he met Rhonda. The two married in 1987 and made their home in Wylie, Texas, where they've lived for the past 38 years.

Wayne enjoyed a lifelong career in sales within the wholesale distribution industry and took great pride in his work. He loved sharing stories about the many interesting people he met throughout his career, keeping his family and friends entertained with his humor and charm.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Helen, and his brothers, Charlie Ross (Emporia, KS) and Richard Ross (Madison, KS).

Wayne is survived by his wife, Rhonda; his son, Jeremy (and wife, Sarah) of Frisco, TX; and his daughter, Melanie Padron of Wylie, TX. He was a proud grandfather to five grandsons—Graham Ross, Fletcher Ross, Luke Padron, Noah Padron, and Cruz Padron—who brought him endless joy.

He is also survived by his siblings, John "Steve" Ross of Wylie, TX, Patty Hutchison of Rantoul, KS, and Jacque Kraum of Vero Beach, FL, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will cherish his memory.
