The family of Wendy Charlene Henson Flood of Wylie, TX, are saddened to announce her passing on May 19, 2022, just three days past her 58 ^th birthday. Our world was a much brighter place because she was here.

Wendy was born in El Paso, TX, on May 16, 1964, to USAF CMS Melvin L. and Dorothy Henson, joining siblings Rebecca and Steve. Her kindergarten through 12 ^th grade schooling was in Garland, TX, graduating from Garland High School. Post high school, she attended Richland College and many professional development trainings, being mentored by remarkable individuals who became her friends. Wendy worked her magic in corporate travel and card program management.

Her greatest joys were her family—husband of 25 years Dan Flood and the dogs who filled her heart and lap. She was the grandest sister to Becky Henson O'Banion (Sedona, AZ) and Steve Henson (wife Tamara; Fort Gibson, OK) and the very best auntie to Colin O'Banion (Gillian), Megan Berry (Doug), Andrew O'Banion (Emily), Jillian Edwards (Jason), Clay Henson (Jade), and Zach Henson (Kristina), and to their children. Wendy loved traveling and continually learn about people and places, and she loved all animals. Her friendships were blessed by the care and generosity she shared.

Wendy was predeceased in death by her parents.

The family plans to host a celebration of Wendy's life in the near future. Memorial donations may be made to your own local animal shelters in support of humane care of all animals.
