William Gregory Eakins, 19, of Nevada, TX passed away on Dec. 11, 2016 in Benton, AR. He was born on February 17, 1997 in Garland, TX, the son of Greg and Rebecca Eakins. He attended Community Schools and graduated Community High School in 2015. He played the tuba in the band and participated in competitions with the Robotics Club. He was currently attending Collin College pursing multiple engineering certifications. William was an ambitious, caring, fun-loving, intelligent young man. He was an avid lover of Japanese culture, anime, gaming, and advanced technology.

He is survived by his parents, Gregory Lance Eakins and Rebecca Anne Russom Eakins; Brother, James Edward Burnitt and wife Melody Burnitt; Sisters, Elizabeth Hope Hebert and husband Steve Hebert; Sarah Leighanne Garrett and husband Samuel Garrett.  He is survived by his grandparents, Martha Sue Eakins and James Alexander Russom. Aunts and Uncles include Gail and Rusty Norris, Teresa and Danny Pizzolato, Rhonda and Paul Black, Joseph and Rebecca Russom; his fiancée, Cassie Stacy, his best friends Brandon Adams and Foster Lankford, his niece Eowyn and many more cousins and friends.
