William Burt Jones, 87, of Wylie passed away in Richardson on Saturday, June 23, 2018.  He was born on March 28, 1931 in Clear Lake, Texas to the late Robert and Ella (Gray) Jones.

William was a member of the United States Army and served in Korea in the Korean Conflict. He met and married Misao Sato in December 1955 in Japan. William had worked for Walmart where he was in the Maintenance Department.

Surviving William is his wife of 62 years, Misao Jones of Wylie; children, Leroy Jones and wife Anna of Farmersville, Texas, Jackie Powell and husband Thomas of Wylie, Texas, Chris Jones and wife Nanette of Nevada, Texas and Dennis Jones and wife Roxanna of McKinney, Texas; 2 sisters, Jenita Ballew and husband Bobby of Wylie, Texas and Mamie Redd of Farmersville, Texas; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at Allen Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Lavon.  Interment will follow at the Thompson Cemetery.
