William (Bill) Lanman, 79, joined his Lord and heavenly family February 4, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. He is the son of the late Dale and Irish mother Masie (Logan) Lanman of Circleville, Ohio. Also preceded is death by brothers Dale (Hootie), Charly, sister Vivian (Bozman) Lanman, and Granddaughter Alexis Lanman.

Bill passed away with his wife of 58 years Carma (Spangler) and family members by his side.

Along with his wife he is survived by sons David (Becky), Mark (Karen), Aaron (Nicole), and Patrick (Tara) and six grandchildren, Meagan (Alex), Katelyn, Lindsey, Brett, Avery, and Adam. A sister Sheila (Jeff) and sister-in-law Kay.

Bill graduated from Circleville High School, class of 62. Bill made his career and retired after 32 years working with the GTE Phone Company. He started as a lineman, climbing poles in the snow, and became area supervisor in Circleville and Athens, Ohio, Weslaco and Garland, Texas, and finally retiring in Lexington, Kentucky.

Bill served in the United States Marine CORPS. He was a member, and held many officer positions, in the Elks, American Legion, and a 32nd Degree Mason. Bill also served as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff in Athens County Ohio. Bill enjoyed helping people and riding his Harley.
