Willie Ray Calverley, age 70, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024. He was born on March 7, 1954 in Dallas, Texas to Sonny and Paula Calverley. Willie graduated from Wylie High School in 1972. He married Alanna Jean Davis on June 14, 1974.

Willie started working at Terrell Glass and Mirror in 1972 before becoming the owner of Wylie Glass. He was a deacon at First Baptist Church Wylie where he served in the youth department for over 20 years. He enjoyed cruises to Alaska and took pride in watching his children and grandchildren play softball, basketball, volleyball, soccer, baseball, football, and cheerleading. The role he loved most was Pops.

Willie is survived by his beloved wife of almost 50 years Alanna; son Matt and daughter in-law Brooke; daughter Abby and son in-law Joey; daughter Niki; grandchildren Caleb, Dillion, Emma and Finley Calverley and Hallie and Landri Martin; mother Paula Calverley; brother Kirk and sister in-law Sherry; brother Carl and sister in-law Brenda; mother in-law Jean Davis, brother and sister in-law Joe and Pam Davis, sister and brother in-law Jennifer and Chris Dunlop, sister in-law Sandra Davis and 11 nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his father Sonny Calverley, father in-law Bill J. Davis, and brother in-law Jay Davis.
