Winona B. Hood, 86, of Wylie went home to her Lord on Saturday, May 16, 2020 in Richardson, Texas.  Winona was born on Saturday, November 25, 1938 in the small town of Itasca.  Her parents were the late John Douglas and Willie Myrtle (Cornwell) Bourland.  Winona married Coy Huborn Hood.  He had preceded her in death.  Winona was a teacher and a guide to the children that passed through her classroom.  She attended the Baptist Church.

Surviving Winona are her 2 sons and their wives; Kevin and Cathy Hood of Wylie and Steven and Debra Hood of McDonough, Georgia.  She is also survived by her grandson, Joshua Hood and great-grandson Nathan Eli Hood.

Winona will be laid to rest on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the Judson Cemetery, Anderson County, in the small community of Cayuga, Texas.
